Why?! Why?! Why?!

Well, I just looked out and what did I discover? Snow!!!
I know it's that time of year, but still... Let it snow when I don't have to walk up and down a hill to get to work and back to my car. Especially when it's still pitch black outside... *grumble*
Oh, what the hell...I really don't care that much.
I just wanted to put up a post again since I've been extremely lazy lately.
Blame it on stress, antidepressants, or me having fallen on my rear and having issues getting back up, but I haven't given up yet nor do I intend to, soooo...I'll do my best to post again soon.

Baibai, minasan!

Movies to look forward to

Even though there are no new dreams to report, I have found out about some new movies that are scheduled to be released in the next year or so.
Well, let's get started:
In January/February 2006 - Underworld: Evolution
During 2006 (unknown dates) - Silent Hill
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Mortal Kombat: Devastation
DOA : Dead or Alive
For those of you who know their video games, you will notice that all of the movies, with the exception of Underworld: Evolution, are the live-action versions of...well, video games.
Of course, I can't neglect comics, so here are several movies that are to be released in 2006, 2007, and...on Dec. 2nd of this year.
These would be:
December 2nd, 2006 - Aeon Flux
2006 - X-Men 3
2007 - Wolverine
Well, that's all the news for now. I am also looking forward to the new Harry Potter movie, and hopefully my mother will want to watch it with Richard and me since I hardly get to see her, and I would like to do something with the two people that are close to my heart.
With this, I will say "Good bye" and "Good night", and yes Mom, I know that I should be getting sleep...I'm working on it...
So, take care everyone! Talk to you later!

Bizarre but Possible

After many weeks of not being able to remember my dreams, I was finally able to remember one of my most recent dreams. I think this was on Sunday (or Monday), but I had a dream about my family putting together a bigger dinner. With Thanksgiving coming up, this makes sense. However, even my sister was there, who is 16 and currently not living under the same roof as the rest of my immediate family (more on that at a later time). Everything was so peaceful and happy, and at some point during this meal preparation, I noticed a baby. Hmm, well, seeing a baby in my family's household is odd because my mother can't and doesn't want to have any more children (nothing wrong with that), I can't afford to have any children at the moment (both literally and emotionally), and there weren't any other guests...period. So, who did this youngster belong too? Yep, my sister. In my dream, my sister had managed to get pregnant, hide this pregnancy from the world, and give birth to this infant.
Now, even though I thought that this was very strange, I can see it happening...
Either this dream is supposed to predict the future of my sister becoming a teenage mother or it might even signal a new beginning for...someone (babies are a symbol for change and new beginnings). If it is a symbol for a new beginning, hopefully my sister will come to her senses again and move back home to Mom (and Dad won't be such a jerk about it), and my family's household can look towards a brighter, happier, more positive and less worrysome future.
And with that, I will end this message and get ready to sleep. I have an early start (4 a.m.) and a long day tomorrow (well, today technically).
So, take care everyone, and I hope that my family and friends are doing well, and as a last note:

Get well soon, Adrienne!

Things to look forward to

I know that my last few posts have had negative overtones (and undertones), but this message is about things that I am looking forward to. Hence the title "Things to look forward to".
The main one would probably have to be that tomorrow is payday, so I am more relieved than happy about that. Then "Batman Begins" will be released on DVD tomorrow, and I really want to buy it, but I don't know if my father will buy it, and my family is against wasting money, so...I'm curious how things will end up.
The swelling on my tailbone (is that the same as a backbone? hmmm) has finally managed to go down, but I only realized that after the practically uncontrollable bleeding had gone down to a minimum. I still have a bruise though...
And after feeling horrible and sick for the past week and sleeping throughout nearly the whole weekend (I even called in sick at work on Sunday), I am feeling immensely calm and peaceful.
Well, ki o tsukete mina san (take care everyone)!
And bis zum naechsten Mal (until next time...unfortunately, I don't know how to write Umlaute on this computer)!

Baibai!

A Comment to a Comment

Okay, I know that the most recent came from you Mom, even if you comment as "Anonymous". So, this is what I think of your comment: No, my blog is not just to complain and drown in self-pity...there just happen to be more bad things happening than good right now. Would you like for me to talk about my sex life? Just kidding...
Anyway...about my backbone: I have a pretty big bruise sitting on my backbone, so no wonder I can hardly sit or walk or lay...
Well, that's enough from me today.
Take care everyone!

Ow...ow...ow...owwwwww

Well, it's that time of the month...again. Good news: I'm not sick. Bad news: My stomach's upset, I feel like throwing up half the time, and my backbone feels like it's going to tear me into pieces...that's how much it hurts. Of course, it doesn't help that my feet hurt from working and walking to and from work.
So, now I can hardly move without almost blacking out because of the enormous pain.
I just hope that this will be over soon...
Okay, bye everyone!
Take care!

Proof of life

Okay, this is just a quick message to show everyone that I'm not dead...yet.
I just got my laptop back and everything seems to be working fine. Blogger.com seems to have delayed the posting of three comments on the 20th of September to...well, yesterday, so I don't know what happened there. I also got my hair cut, and a job, so I'm tired and I'm having a slightly hard time catching up with my reading for class, so I'm would like to apologize to my professor for this, but I'm not giving up...
Ummmmm....hmmmm..... I think that's all the news I have for now, but hopefully, I'll be able to post more often from now on!
Talk to everyone later! Baibai!

Getting down with the sickness

So, as I mentioned in my previous post, we finally managed to get cable and internet. Well, obviously people have been messing with the wiring here so much that it took Mediacom longer than usual to hook us up. And after a power shortage not all too long ago, we now don't have cable...well, we do, but the signal isn't making it to the TV.
Another funny thing that happened is that I can't open any webpages up, but I can still open up Yahoo! Messenger without any problems and chat with people. We got a wireless router (my boyfriend has a desktop computer and I have a laptop computer), and I'm receiving a perfect signal, and the signal strength is excellent, but something just isn't right. Fortunately, my boyfriend is going to reformat my computer, and then I will hopefully be able to access the internet just fine.
Now to something that pertains directly to the title of today's post. Yes, it is a quote, and no, I don't know from where I got it. I think I got it from a song....
Anyway, nearly two weeks ago, I noticed that something was "wrong". I had a slightly runny nose and I had to sneeze occasionally. Well, things got really out of hand once i got back from visiting my parents. Not only did my period decide to show up, but I had so many sneezing fits that my throat started to hurt. So, I had the great pleasure of dealing with major cramps, bleeding, nausea, and a cold. Ugh... Of course, the heat and our sorry excuse of a cooling system didn't make things better. I even got so sick that my clumsiness nearly managed to give me a concussion. One of my legs got caught on the bed, I tripped, and banged my head against the wall, so that was really fun.
I'm actually somewhat serious about that though...it was sort of fun. Hihi.
Well, that's all from me for today because I need to spend some time among humans today (my boyfriend is working today), so baibai! *wave, wave*
Take care minasan!
Write more comments please! I really enjoy them!
*wave, wave*

Hurray for internet and cable!

Yay! Yay! We now have internet and cable!! I would be happier if I didn't feel so sick. I have a cold right now, so I'm feeling really drained. I don't even know if I'll be able to finish my reading assignment for tomorrow, but I'll try...
Oh well, I need food and I can hardly concentrate because of my sneezing, so take care everyone!

Talk to everyone later!

Gomen nasai!

Gomen nasai means I'm sorry in Japanese, which is what I currently am for being so lazy with writing new posts. Right now I just feel really unmotivated to do anything! So, shame on me...
I would like to write something about the Adrienne's last comment. I know that there are Evangelion character quizzes out there, but I haven't been able to find any with pictures yet, so if you know of any, Adrienne, please help me with that.
Let's see...so far, I'm doing pretty well. I had breakfast with my family this morning and I will be meeting with a friend for lunch in about an hour or so. I know I should probably spend time with another one of my friends today, since he will be moving pretty soon, but I don't even know if he has time or if I have the energy to do so... Oh well, we'll see...
Umm, I think I'll just end the message here. I just felt the need to post again.
So, I hope to receive more comments from everyone, and yes, I'm talking about Adrienne and my mom...
Anyway, take care, and I will really try my best to write more often!!

Baibai!!!

Tests, yay!

The reason I am so happy about this topic is because they are personality tests, and since they are anime personality tests, the results were even more interesting.
I think that all of these tests are on Quizilla.com, and I will also be providing the links to these quizzes, so that everyone reading this blog can also take these tests. I would also be very happy to find out about the results of the people taking these tests, so please inform me of these results! Don't worry, I won't make fun of anyone...

Well, the first one is about which deadly sin you are. Pictures from "Angel Sanctuary" (an OAV and manga series) are used to depict these sins since the deadly sins are also characters in the storyline of the manga (Japanese comic).

Here is the link:

http://quizilla.com/.../quizzes/Which%20deadly%20sin%20do%20you%20represent%3F%20(Angel%20Sanctuary%20Pics)/

And this is my result:

The second test is about which Sailor Moon character you are.

I got:

You are Tuxedo Kamen!
Which Sailor Moon Character Are You?

brought to you by Quizilla

Next I have a link to a test to determine which Full Metal Alchemist character you are.

http://quizilla.com/users/Trinity323c7/quizzes/Full%20Metal%20Alchemist%20Character%20Quiz/

My result:

The fourth test determines the Angel Sanctuary character that is most like you.

http://quizilla.com/users/fallenangelx/quizzes/Which%20Angel%20Sanctuary%20are%20you%3F/

Who I am:

You may appear cold and mysterious but you're actually caring and loyal. You are looked up to by others and will do anything to protect your loved ones.
You are Sakuya Kira.
The reincarnation of the Alexial's sword
Nanasatuya. The sword is really Lucifer's soul
trapped in it. Kira died in a car crash but
Lucifer struck a deal with him so that they may
live in the same body. He is mysterious and may
seem emotionless. He is however very caring and
loyal to his friends.
You are loyal and caring despite what you may seem
to be. Cool and more like a big brother figure
to some.

Which Angel Sanctuary are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Last, but not least, which is why I saved them for last, I am setting up the links and results to two Azumanga Daioh tests, of which the results should be quite hilarious...regardless of the result.

http://quizilla.com/users/EvilNaokiIIDX/quizzes/Which%20Azumanga%20Daioh%20Character%20are%20you%3F/

Here are my results:

Azumanga
You are Kasuga Ayumu (Osaka)! No-one remembers
your real name, but you don't care because you
occasionally forget it yourself. You are the
follower in your group, you tend to go wherever
the others go. Wherever life takes you, you
find some way to be happy about it. You have
an extremely sweet nature. Others think you
are kinda spaced out, but you enjoy it better
in your mind. The most important things in
life are sleep, imagination, and the ability to
do magical things. You hide a darker side that
we pray is never unleased on the world (never
smile like that again). You don't pay much
attention to the outside world, and your grades
can suffer because of this... but who cares?
Life has more to offer than grades... like
breaking chopsticks. Your best friend would be
a Chiyo, and you should consider becoming a
teacher.

and...

I'm Kasuga Ayumu!

brought to you by Quizilla

Anyway, write me about your results, or paste your results image and tell me that, or tell me how much you did or didn't like the tests, or something...
Unfortunately, two of these images aren't willing to load...I don't know why...
Well, I'll try to figure out why and how to possibly fix it, but until then I can't really do anything.
Hey, who knows...maybe it's just my computer being stubborn!
So, write me lots of comments and I'll do my best to post again as soon as possible!

Take care everyone!

Tired...so tired...

I am only writing this post because I feel bad if I don't publish a new post at least every few days, and since I'm really tired right now...bear with me. New things in my life: My dad just had surgery on Monday. Half of his knee (I don't know which) was taken out and replaced with titanium parts, which sounds like lots of fun. Today, (well, yesterday) he then had a gout attack in the same leg he had had surgery on, so he's just not been doing too well...
Uhh, I should really come to an end before my head manages to crash into the keyboard... Is anyone actually looking at this blog? I've seen that there have been four profile views, and I've received one comment, but then again this blog is still practically a baby so I'm not really expecting a whole lot of visitors (I'm not expecting a whole lot of visitors period...). Oh well, it can't be helped, at least not now. I am going to get ready for bed now, so good night, good morning, or good whatever-time-of-day it happens to be for you!

Take care, everyone! Talk to you later.

Happy belated birthday, Mom!

So yesterday was my mother's birthday, but unfortunately it wasn't really a happy one. Right now, I'm still at home visiting my parents since I attend a university now. Well, we went to Win's Buffet for my mother's birthday, which would have been rather nice if my sister had actually decided to join us, and if my father had been nicer towards my mother. Of course, I will explain the whole background story in later posts, so it's all very confusing at this point.
Anyway, I know that I said I would set up post on the 25th, I believe, but I just didn't get to it. So, I apologize for that, and as everyone can see, I set up a new template. Well, I didn't... It's courtesy of createBlog.com (I will set them up as a new link as soon as possible) and someone calling him-/herself Torngemini, so thank you for creating it and letting me use it.
In case you're wondering why I picked this template, well, I love Angelina Jolie, and yes, I have a boyfriend and he knows about my love for Angelina Jolie...or extraordinary women in general.
Well, I had better stop for now, especially since I found some more websites that can help me play around and change my blog.
One last thing: I love you Mom, I know your birthday wasn't that great, and I promise that I will set up a post dedicated to you very soon!!!

Mistakes in earlier post

Well, it seems that I was still asleep when I wrote the post this morning because I noticed two mistakes. One of them was also mentioned in the comment to that post, so I definitely need to correct it.
First correction: In line ten, I wrote "The last link is to a website a visit rather...", but it is supposed to be "The last link is to a website I visit rather...".
Second correction (the mistake pointed out in the comment): In line 15, I wrote "...this case the emphasis is on Japan animation.", which was partially correct, but it's supposed to be "...this case the emphasis is on Japanese animation.".
Small mistakes, but I still felt the need to correct them.
Anyway, thank you Anonymous for pointing out my second mistake!
I hope that everything is correct now, so I'll end this post now.
Keep on sending comments, I appreciate them!
Take care everyone, and I'll post again tomorrow!

Link explanations

Well, I know that I wanted to write a second post yesterday, but I just didn't get to it in the end.
Anyway, good morning everyone! Right now I'm sitting in The Java House because...well, I just felt like it. What can I say, I like cafes...
Let's see...oh yeah, I wanted to explain the links I set up! When I set up my blog, I was provided with three links, which are the first three on the list. I then set up a link to Blogger.com, which I explained in the last message. After that, I set up three links to blogs and/or websites of friends. Trifthen is a link to a friend's website, Devamon a link to my boyfriend's blog, and Kwyndig a link to a friend's blog. The last link is to a website a visit rather often, which is Anime Central's website. In case you don't know what Anime Central is, it is supposedly the largest anime convention in the Midwest, which I must agree with...
Well, and if you don't know what anime is, it is short for animation, and in this case the emphasis is on Japan animation.
Hmm, I explained my links, so that's it for now.
Please feel free to check them out, and since my comments section is now visible, please feel free to write me comments as well.
Take care everyone!

Yay! A new post and some changes to the Links section

After some initial difficulties with setting up my blog, it is now officially up and running. Yay! I have also added some more links other than the ones I was provided with in the beginning. Most of these lead to blogs of friends or to sites that I visit more often. Of course, I also had to set up a link to Blogger.com since they are allowing me to do this for free.
I will be setting up more links as soon as possible so watch out for that.
Hmm...is there anything else?
I guess not, at least not for now, but hopefully I will write another longer post later today.
So, have a great day and take care!

Bettina
Hey!

This is my first post, so be gentle. I just moved to Iowa City this month, and school just started today, so I'm still trying to get used to everything. I think that's all I'm gonna write for now, but I will definitely write more soon.
Bye, good night, and take care!
